Sure Start is the British Goverment’s programme for ensuring the best start in life for every child. For their childcare careers section they wanted something with a warm, friendly feel that identified children as part of the design.

The brief was very tight as previous designs by other companies had been followed and subsequently rejected. Working around the clock, Control B produced two fresh, new designs from which this was chosen.

The cheerful, scalloped rainbow navigation is augmented by the bespoke in-house illustrations of children and teachers that also bullet-point the copy.
