Recognised as one of the UK’s leading classic & sports car specialists, Classic Chrome is a strong brand in its market. The site however, having been built in 1997, didn’t really reflect this any more.

Control B was originally brought in to revamp and redesign the homepage, and was so impressed by the public response to the homepage - one that saw their traffic increase by 50% - that we were asked to rebuild the entire site.

The site now centres around a robust database of cars for sale where sellers upload their car details and photos online. A secure Content Management System (CMS) is maintained by Classic Chrome allowing them to add and modify adverts, change their status (i.e. "pending approval", "for sale", "sold") and ultimately delete them. Adverts are shown on the live site for a predetermined period (e.g. 6 months) and are automatically removed at the end.

The CMS also allows Classic Chrome to add new cars and new models, as well as updating other site content.

A clear standout is the powerful search engine. Among other great features is the ability to search for cars by year of registration, making it easy to find wildly extravagant yet perfectly age-appropriate birthday presents.
